The Element House opens through large double doors that directly open to the central feature of the house which is an elegant curved staircase that spirals between floors. Centred at top is a large pendant fixture that stems out of a sculpted circular skylight. This fluid core represents  a sharp contrast to the rectilinear modern arrangement of the exterior. This is part of the play of the house and there is this ongoing juxtaposition of different states.

The house is set among a neighbourhood of traditional Craftsman and Tudor homes and the intent was to to evoke a Modern aesthetic while still paying homage to its neighbours. It maintains an elegance and contemporaneity that the client was looking for while still maintaining pitched roofs and plays on reinterpretations of architectural stone bases with contemporary materials such as concrete.

Some of the features on the exterior include reflecting pools and the use of rain chains which prove to animate the space all around and making an active presence that is always mutable and changing. Even the large fire and water bowls at the rear play upon this juxtaposition of elements. The house completes its elegance through stunning and welcoming interior design that lures you into its warmth through texture and richness.
